This spiced hot chocolate is the perfect warm elixir to sip on to support your body in the transition from summer into fall.
This spiced hot chocolate is the perfect warm elixir to sip on to support your body in the transition from summer into fall. Inspired by the Ayurvedic drink Haldi Doodh (aka “golden milk”), it features turmeric and ginger to calm inflammation and support the immune system. And if you’re trying to cut back on caffeine, it makes a deliciously warming morning bev.
Because it has ingredients that can help calm cramps and PMS, this hot chocolate is especially nourishing during the luteal phase, also known as your inner fall. The cacao is rich in magnesium and antioxidants that help with cramping, bloating, headaches, and PMS. The ginger and turmeric are warming and anti-inflammatory. The cinnamon helps promote blood flow (which eases cramps) and balanced blood sugar.
Ready? Here’s how to make it.
The Ingredients
1-2 tbsp raw cacao powder
