Drink Your Flowers: 5 Floral Sips for Spring
Spring is for the flowers. Growing them, admiring them, stopping to smell them…and drinking them. Here are 5 of our favorite ways to sip them.
One of the most glorious parts of spring are the flowers. They delight the senses, enchant the emotions, and (some of them) can even heal the body.
Floral herbs aren’t only gorgeous, they're deeply medicinal, feminine, and deeply satisfying to steep, sip, and savor. Below are 6 floral sips worth making on repeat.
A tea blend for sleep & stillness
This is the blend to make when you need to sink into softness. Lavender quiets the mind, chamomile softens the body, and lemon balm eases anxiety. Add a pinch of passionflower when you need help falling asleep. To make it, steep equal parts lavender flowers, chamomile flowers, and lemon balm in hot water for 15 minutes.
Rose petal sprinkles
This one is less of a recipe and more of a ritual. A few rose petals sprinkled over your morning matcha, your afternoon smoothie, or your evening hot chocolate instantly elevates any drink into a heart-opening potion.
A mineral tonic
Nettle, red raspberry leaf, and red clover flowers make a nourishing overnight infusion with a floral twist. Three mineral-rich herbs steeped in hot water for eight hours until the liquid turns dark and rich. Nettle is one of the most nutrient-dense plants on earth. Red raspberry leaf tones the uterus and supports hormonal balance. Red clover adds lymphatic support and subtle sweetness. To make, fill a quart-size jar with ¼ cup of each of the 3 herbs, add hot water, and let steep overnight. Strain and sip in the morning.

De-puffing floral tea
Ginger and calendula flowers combine to make a warming, moving, and de-puffing. Calendula is a lymphatic herb — it gets things circulating, reduces inflammation, and decreases water retention. Ginger brings the heat, supporting digestion and calming cramps. Together they make a blend that’s perfect for your luteal phase or other times you’re feeling a little sluggish.
A menstrual-phase blend
Hibiscus, rosehips, and rose petals. This blend is tart, ruby-red, and deeply supportive of blood flow. It’s the perfect thing to sip during your period. Hibiscus is rich in iron and vitamin C and has long been used to ease cramping and support circulation. Rosehip amplifies the vitamin C and adds a gentle anti-inflammatory effect. Rose petal brings it back to the heart — emotionally, energetically, and medicinally. Add equal parts of each herb to hot water and steep it for 15 minutes, swirl in a spoonful of honey, and sip slow.
