Orchid Obsessed: A Curated Edit
Call it the cool girl's flower. Orchids are all over our mood boards right now, and we’re leaning in. A curated edit of the orchid-inspired pieces that caught our eye — from ceramics to jewelry.
Orchids are having a moment, and for good reason. There's an energy to them that's both elegant and untamed, delicate yet wild. Here are the pieces we've been eyeing.
Handmade mugs by Kennedy Grace
Azalea Goods’ Orchid Mugs
These handmade mugs by ceramicist Kennedy Grace (catch her recent interview here) are quite literally the most gorgeous and unique mugs we’ve ever seen.
Just imagine drinking your morning matcha out of one? And when not in use, it serves as a gorgeous functional art piece for your shelf. Dreamy!
Orchid Earrings by Orkyd Edit
Wearable art, conversation sparker, statement piece — these earrings created by Etinosa, founder of Orkyd Edit, are all of the above. When we first came across them, we were stunned by how much they look exactly like real orchids.
They come in all sorts of colors and sizes, and add artsy, chic, bold flair to any look.
Floral Prints by Nisha Boehm
We’ve been obsessed with Nisha Boehm’s work for a while. Boehm, who goes by Artsy Nish, paints stunning abstract floral pieces that sing with color and feminine flow.
She sells both original pieces and prints (our favorites here, here, and here), many of which feature orchids.
Orchid Sculptural Lamps from Hey Maker
Lighting fit for a fairy house, no?
These sculptural lamps are handmade by Ashley Zabarte using hand-painted paper clay over a lightweight sculptural base.
Orchid sculptures by fleureternele
Add a touch of enchantment to your space.
These paper mache shelf and wall art pieces made by Montreal-based artist Marie Eve are true statements.
Take a peek at her process here.
